Introducing Alex and Guy, founders of WineRevolution…

…It all began when the owner of a beautiful Sussex cottage desired a wine cellar. Realising they didn’t have much space, they got in touch with Alex Colchester- luxury furniture maker, interior designer and inventor. After many late nights pondering, he devised a unique revolving wine rack. The first iteration of the Wine Revolution was born! 

Evenings at Alex’s workshop often meant a visit from Private Eye/Spectator cartoonist and drinks writer Guy Venables. They would share a sundowner and talk about the potential of the Wine Revolution. Guy took up the mantle of pitching it to his old drinks contacts, several local vineyards and wine shops. The response was overwhelmingly positive. 

Encouraged, every element of the design was refined. It now boasts a higher bottle count, smoother bearings and different sized holes for champagne and some of the larger necked Burgundies. To maintain absolute quality- it was decided this iconic, sculptural design be manufactured in the UK.

The Wine Revolution is deeply versatile. It is equally at home in luxury apartments, restaurants or as a feature in cellars.
